Juan Camilo Sanz
Chief Executive Officer
Juan Camilo is an entrepreneur with over 15 years of proven experience in founding, developing, scaling, and strategically managing businesses in the bioenergy, nature-based solutions, and agribusiness sectors in Colombia.
His career stands out for the comprehensive leadership of complex, large-scale industrial and agro-industrial projects, covering the full cycle: from conception and strategic structuring to execution and operational commissioning.
He has led the implementation of industrial projects in the forestry sector, co-founded Colombia's first large-scale sustainable wood pellet facility. Has established global supply chains in agribusiness companies, and managed extensive local operations.
Additionally, he has completed full mergers and acquisitions (M&A) processes, notably leading the sale of three companies —most recently, a bioenergy company acquired by an international private equity fund.
This experience is complemented by more than 10 years in the international corporate world, where he held senior positions in business development and global expansion at leading professional services firms in London and New York.
At Rebalance75, Juan Camilo leads the strategic direction and manages key stakeholder relationships, driving the company’s vision as a leading provider of industrial decarbonization solutions and timber to the energy and pulp industries.
His approach integrates climate innovation, nature-based solutions, industrial scalability, and the generation of sustainable economic value.

Carlos Vazquez
Chief Development Officer
Carlos is an entrepreneur and developer of forestry, bioenergy and industrial projects.
He co-founded Colombia's first large-scale sustainable wood pellet facility, structuring an 8,000-hectare plantation program backed by global technology partners.
He also served as practice leader for low-carbon fuels, sustainable forestry, and biomass at a global consulting firm in Australia.
Previously, he founded and led a development company advancing bioenergy and biofuel projects in Chile and Colombia via integrated forestry models for timber and biomass. He was a director at one of Chile’s top forestry companies, overseeing the planting of over 7,000 hectares annually.
Complementing his operational track record is strong financial experience: in New York, he worked for a hedge fund focused on energy and natural resources, handling project finance, investment analysis, and commodity markets. Earlier roles included the financial sector and Big Four firms.
At Rebalance75, as Chief Development Officer, Carlos leads project development—structuring and executing commercial eucalyptus plantations to produce and export premium biocoal (metallurgical biocarbon) to global steelmakers, while supplying biomass to energy and pulp industries.
His integrated approach blends technical, operational, and financial expertise to drive innovation, scalability, and profitability in renewable value chains.
